Phenolic foam insulation is a closed-cell, rigid insulation that is manufactured by mixing solids with phenolic resin and a surface reacting agent. Phenolic insulation is moisture resistant, with low thermal conductivity and flammability. Phenolic foam insulation can be used in a number of applications such as the insulation of pipework, tanks, vessels, building applications, and even specialty applications like fire doors and off-shore applications. Like our polyiso foam insulation, phenolic foam is manufactured in buns and can be fabricated into the unique shapes and sizes needed for a variety of commercial applications. DI has fabrication facilities across North America that can create fabricated phenolic foam insulation products to fit any pipe, elbow, or fitting.
