Socket Weld

Socket weld mineral wool elbows are made of preformed mineral wool insulation. Mineral wool is a high-temperature insulation derived from volcanic rock, mostly basalt. It is a highly fire-resistance insulation that can be used in temperatures up to 1200°F and in firestopping applications. In addition, it is also hydrophobic which helps prevent mold, mildew, and corrosion. Socket weld mineral wool elbows can be fabricated as Socket Weld (SW) 90’s and 45’s.
