Refrasil UC100 series cloth is a high strength acid leached amorphous silica cloth that is specially made to maximize both temperature resistance and ambient temperature physical strength. All HITCO silica cloths are manufactured to silica contents of 96% or greater. This silica level is necessary to obtain a temperature resistance of 1800 deg F. All of the Hitco UC100 series fabrics are economical alternatives to silica cloths that either do not perform at 1800 deg F or have low physical strength and abrasion resistance.
